Deze vraag is specifieker maar toch algemeen genoeg voor veel gebruikers: hoe ga je om met tearing op Gentoo, met behulp van een NVIDIA-gebaseerde grafische kaart?

Met “omgaan met” bedoel ik hoe je het verwijdert, gebruikmakend van een zeer specifieke setup door pure brute kracht, of hoe minimaliseer je op zijn minst de effecten?

Ik heb zowel de eigen als de gratis stuurprogrammas, verschillende versies, verschillende kernels, verschillende X-configuraties en stuurprogramma-opties geprobeerd. Ik moet het nog proberen verschillende window managers, want ik heb simpelweg geen tijd om daar ook mee te spelen.

In plaats van het wiel opnieuw uit te vinden, kent iemand misschien al een goede setup die deze nadelige effecten terwijl we wachten tot Wayland meer grip krijgt. Zoals kirill-a suggereert in de andere vraag: “Het probleem met het scheuren van het scherm kan dus worden opgelost door verschillende stuurprogrammas te proberen en ze te configureren.”

Welke combinatie van windowmanager, stuurprogrammas, kernel (vermeld alstublieft specifieke kernelopties die zijn cruciaal), zullen X-configuratie en mediaspeler me de beste resultaten geven?

  • Ik heb geen problemen met KDE Stable: gentoo op Nvidia -Driver Stable: gentoo draait een 3.x kernel
  • Gelieve dit uit te werken. Vaak komt tearing niet voor in alle soorten videobestanden. Soms wordt het ook alleen weergegeven (zelfs voor hetzelfde type videobestand) als er een bepaald type camerabeweging of beweging is. Ik zou ook graag willen weten welke videospeler, welke opties voor de videospeler (cat ~ / .mplayer / config voor mplayer)? Zijn er specifieke kernelopties? Welk type videobestanden gebruikt u? Welke grafische kaart (welk Nvidia-model)?
  • Het lijkt me vreemd dat sommige oplossingen aanbevelen om compositing uit te schakelen, terwijl anderen zeggen om het in te schakelen.

Met vlc met het nvidia eigen stuurprogramma en geen nouveau stuurprogramma, heb ik geen scheuren gezien met meerdere dvds – All Seasons of Breaking Bad en Oblivion om er maar een paar te noemen, en een Hulu-abonnement voor Dr Who en dergelijke in Chromium Stable. Ik heb ook de ingebouwde grafische kaart uitgeschakeld ten gunste van de AGP-versie van de vermelde kaart. In drie jaar tijd heb ik niets groots moeten doen, behalve een paar upgrades van de harde schijf, en een draadloze netwerkkaart vervangen

Ik had veel tearing met NVidia in Arch. Ik probeerde de suggestie in dit antwoord naar de vraag die je hebt gelinkt. Volledig geëlimineerd voor mij.

Dit is met de nieuwste eigen NVidia-driver. Ik heb geen merkbare tranen gezien sinds in Mate (marco) en LXDE ( openbox).
