In FFVII kom je op een gegeven moment op een “date” uit met een lid van je team. Ik streef ernaar om met Barrett mee te gaan en heb aan elke keuze gewerkt die ik tot nu toe heb gemaakt om zijn affiniteit zo hoog mogelijk te maken.
Er is mij echter net verteld dat Sephiroth naar de tempel van ouden en ik zouden daar ook heen moeten gaan – dus ik weet dat ik op het punt sta dat alles verandert. Ik weet dat de date night “moet” plaatsvinden voor dit punt, aangezien iemand die erbij betrokken is na dat punt niet meer kan komen.
Ik ging handmatig naar de Golden Saucer, bleef zelfs in het hotel maar daar was er geen tussenfilmpje of er gebeurde iets anders. Ik dacht dat de “datum” plaatsvond toen je voor het eerst terugkeerde nadat je uit de woestijn was ontsnapt?
Wat mis ik, is er een stap die ik moet nemen om deze gebeurtenis te laten plaatsvinden?

Maak je geen zorgen: De datum is een verplichte verhaalgebeurtenis; je kunt het niet missen .
De plot zal je op dit punt naar de Temple of the Ancients leiden. Als je er echter voor het eerst naartoe gaat, kun je niet naar binnen, omdat je een bepaald belangrijk item moet aanschaffen. De eerste keer dat je de Tempel van de Ouden bezoekt, is wat je in staat stelt om dit item te bemachtigen, namelijk gevonden bij de Gold Saucer. Als je het eenmaal hebt verkregen, kun je Gold Saucer niet meteen verlaten en ga je automatisch door naar de datumnotatie.

Talk to the girl upstairs, and when she asks you if the old life is better, say "Yeah, maybe". 22. In Fort Condor, agree twice to the old guy about his plight. 23. You don"t have to meet Yuffie; in fact, it"s probably better if you don"t. But you can if you want to. Just make sure you get her the first time, and don"t make her run away. 24. On the Cargo Ship, don"t give Yuffie a tranquilizer. 25. On the Cargo Ship, tell Aeris "I dunno..." when she asks about the Airship. 26. On the Cargo Ship, when Tifa asks you about war, say "I don"t know". 27. At the Gold Saucer, when you split up, talk to Red XIII first, and take him with you (do not choose Aeris, Tifa or Yuffie). 28. When you see Barret again in the Corel Prison, and you"re about to go after Dyne, you will be prompted to make a party. Choose Cloud, Barret, and either Red XIII or Cait Sith. *DO NOT CHOOSE AERIS*! - Praat met wapenhandelaar, hij zegt dat je naar de gouden schotel moet gaan
- Ga naar de gouden schotel, praat met Dio in de strijd Vierkant.
Blijf gewoon het verhaal volgen bij de gouden schotel, en de datasequentie vindt plaats nadat je naar je kamer op het Spookplein bent gegaan. De wapenhandelaar hoort optioneel te zijn, maar als hij het over de sluitsteen heeft, “heb je het evenement al bij de gouden schotel geactiveerd.
